Phippsburg

One of our most popular fisheries. Located 30 minutes south of downtown Steamboat Springs is the upper Yampa River above Stagecoach Reservoir. Meandering through green meadows, the upper Yampa is a smaller stream with willow lined undercut banks. Don’t let the size of the river fool you, rich bio mass and cool water equates to giant trout. Mainly a nymph and streamer fishery, this ranch provides some of the best fishing for beginners, kids and experts alike.
