Rafting Frequently Asked Questions

  • At what age can my child start rafting?

    Some of our trips are fine for kids as young as three. However it depends on river flows.

  • What happens if it rains?

    Scattered storms won't prevent us from rafting. However widespread systems or big storms will cause us to cancel.

     

    Keep in mind rain in Steamboat does not mean its raining in other areas that we operate.

  • What do I need to bring?

    • sunglasses
    • hats
    • swimsuit
    • footwear
      • sandals with straps (no flip flops)
      • river shoes
      • sneakers
    • cash for gratuities

    Optional:

    • dry shorts and t-shirt for ride home
    • smaller camera is ok.

  • Can you pick us up and drop us off?

    We only supply transportation from our shop downtown.

  • Where should we park when we come down for check-ins?

    If you are coming from the ski area take a right on 7th off of Lincoln Ave "the main drag", park along Oak Street.

  • Do you offer group discounts?

    Yes, we offer discounts for groups of ten or more. Please call 970-879-8747 for more information on group rates

  • Will there be anyone else in our raft?

    We try to keep parties together. However you may have others in your boat. You can request a private boat for an additional charge.

  • Can I bring alcohol on the trip?

    No alcohol is allowed on our rafting trips.

  • What do you use for transportation?

    We run 15 passenger vans. Most are new leased autos.
