Sarvis Creek Wilderness Area: Year-Round access, great hatches. A few miles downstream of the Yampa tailwaters is the Sarvis Creek Wilderness area. This 1.5 mile section of water offers summer, fall and winter angling opportunities for rainbow, brown and brook trout. From spring stone fly hatches to fall caddis hatches, the right selection of flies will reward the intermediate/experienced angler. In addition to the four species of trout abundant to this water, Sarvis Creek Wilderness offers refuge for deer, elk, bear, and mountain lion.
